The Good: MS Word/Excel for Mac. Yes, I'm praising a Microsoft product. Because Office has to stay within the confines of the Mac World, they couldn't use those floating tabs at the top of the new Office. They had to keep the toolbar (right word?) tabs at the very top of the program. So now instead of having to guess where everything is (is it under that format tab? If it is, will I even be able to find it? Is it buried in some drop down menu with a funny icon that makes no sense?), everything is right where it should be. Plus, I have the Apple Font Book! Because Calibri is boring. Hello, Dakota Handwriting! Seriously, I'm using Word for the stupidest things just to use it in all its wonderfulness.
The Bad (well, the jury's still out): What the fuck is up with Facebook? I confirmed Micah's friend request today (Hi Micah!!!), and it brought me to this new.facebook.com thing. It totally threw me for a loop. The wall posts are right there, the info is a tab, it's so confusing! I mean, I'm sure it'll just take some getting used to, like that news feed thing did. I mean, it was odd to begin with, but then we all accepted it and learned how to read it and moved on. So, it's not like this isn't going to stick, or go away. I just have to get used to it. I'm thinking that since I don't spend a lot of time on Facebook, though, that it's going to take awhile. So, the jury's still out. But the for me, the casual user, it's kind of shitty.
The Wonderful: So I had written this thing about my wonderful Sunday night, but I realized how fucking dorky and twee it made me seem, and I've removed it. If you want it back, you're going to have to ask nicely. But Sunday night was wonderful.
