Well, that was quick

One of my reunion co-chairs, Peg, sent me a link to an online service called MeetingWizard. It allows you to send meeting requests with options for several different times for the meeting.

I was so overjoyed when I looked at the website that I shrieked, and I might have actually started to cry (again with the hormones, I have no other defense).

My boss, my few key volunteers (like Peg), Erin (former admin), and a few close friends are the only ones that know the aggravation that I experience when trying to schedule a conference call. Mine tend to include anywhere from 4 to 15 attendees. I recently looked at all of my sent emails over the past several months, and at least 1/3 of them are regarding the scheduling of a conference call. It doesn't help that at least two people on every call (sometimes as many as six) are in a different time zone. Or time zones. I have to keep track of when everyone is available and on what day and who is three hours behind and who is two and blah blah blah. This is why my computer freezes -- I have eighteen emails concerning the upcoming conference call open, since I need to get it scheduled today, but I have so much other stuff to do that creating a spreadsheet of everyone and their availability is out of the question.

It never occurred to me that a tool like this would exist. I don't know why, because it seems so logical now. I could have Googled it, or asked one of my several business savvy friends. But regardless, it has arrived in my life, and I am so very happy. It completely turned my day around. Yay for technology!
