Meaningful Lyrics of the Moment

I have a lot of incredible songs in my library. Ones that know are great and amazing, that have gorgeous chords and music, deep melodies, and lyrics that are meaningful to me. But sometimes little, unassuming songs have sparkling moments of realism and truth for me. Jennifer O'Connor's "Credit in the Cost":

"The days slip by/I'm amazed at how fast they fly/I'm amazed at the paths I take/I feel free in this love we make/And I am fine/In the time that we spend apart/I'm more myself in this brand new start/Than I've ever been/And once you've got it/it's never lost/I've found the credit/in the cost"

The rest of the song is nice, but she ramps up her delivery, and it never recaptures the naked honesty of the first verse and chorus. It's so seldom that I'm surprised by truth in songs anymore -- so few artists seem to be able to bare themselves convincingly, to actually strip away the layers of performance persona and (for some) ego and sing something real. It's nice to find it, if only for 65 seconds or so.
